It’s been awhile since I took a stroll through Spinningfields in Manchester but it’s always remained on my to do list because of all the amazing eateries you find there. One of these being Neighbourhood Restaurant.
Unusually, we began with pancakes drowned in chocolate sauce which I can hear my parents in my head right now scolding me. However, all you need to say to me is pancakes and chocolate in the same sentence and I’m yours. They were delicious. I’m glad they were a sharer for the table otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten anything else!
Next were mini sausage and bacon butties. I don’t eat pork so I skipped this course but everyone else on the table seemed to enjoy them.
Finally, orders were taken for the main event. I was on the fence but eventually decided on smoked salmon, scrambled egg and avocado on toast. I like the fact that it was deconstructed when it arrived so you could put it together however you wanted. As for the taste, I couldn’t fault it – Amazing! Smoked salmon is another food item that I just can’t resist and I haven’t had avocado for so long so it was all delicious together. Other things on the menu included eggs benedict and an American breakfast (pancakes with sausages and bacon).
Along with our brunch there was a selection of Mimosa’s, Bellini’s and the usual juices and coffees which looking back I didn’t get any photos of so just use your imagination!
I really enjoyed the brunch and after perusing the evening menu, I will definitely be back for dinner one day as well. Lobster Tacos sound too interesting to forget about! Thanks Neighbourhood for an amazing brunch!
*Brunch was complimentary but as usual, all opinions are my own.
