Christmas Decorations Guide -Top Picks

So I know it’s only November but I have to drop the C word as today I’m talking about Christmas decorations.

I personally don’t put up my Christmas decorations until 1st December but there’s no harm in getting some nice bits before then. Please be noted that items with a * are affiliate links.

  1. Llama cushion, £58 – Anthropologie*

I see this saying everywhere this year but there’s just something about this cushion that I like. I think it’s the unusual shade of green it is. It doesn’t look like a Christmas decoration – it looks like something you could have all year round. And I like that.

  1. Bauble, £5 – Debenhams

This bauble is so simple and pretty. I love the detail on it.

  1. Jumper, £15.99 – New Look

I think im going to have to do a whole separate post on Christmas jumpers. I snuck one into this post with the lame excuse of “decorating yourself” but in actual fact I see a crap load of awesome xmas jumpers this year. So yep, will have to do another post.

  1. LED marquee light, £12.50 – Paperchase*

Have absolutely no room for a Christmas tree? This marquee light is perfect for a laid back tree which doesn’t need any decoration. I may have to get one for ours as long time readers know we can’t have a traditional tree as the cats tried to eat it!

  1. Wreath, £22 – Lizard Creative @ Etsy*

I’ve always dreamed that one day I’d live somewhere nice enough where I wasn’t afraid of putting a wreath on the front door. But until then, I’ll probably just get one to hang inside where I know it won’t get nicked! This one is gorgeous. It seems to be the only one this shop does but they are open to custom orders!

  1. Light Up Snowflake, £16 – Next*

Can you tell I’ve got a thing for lights at the moment? Isn’t this snowflake pretty? Another simple way of bringing Christmas into your home.

  1. Mug, £18 – Not On The High Street*

I think decor should include things like mugs as they’re something you use every day and why shouldn’t they be Christmassy? This one is absolutely gorgeous!

  1. Pom Pom Garland, £12.57 – £39.29 depending on length – Mailbox Happiness @ Etsy*

When it comes to decor, the walls should definitely get in on the action too. I’ve been saying I’ll make a garland for years but have never gotten round to it. I should probably just buy one like this and save myself the time.

  1. 5ft Christmas Tree, £55 – Paperchase*

I couldn’t do one of these and not include a Christmas tree – how amazing is this rainbow one?

  1. Bed Set, £20 – George

And finally, Christmas should be everywhere in your home (at least I think so!) so that shouldn’t stop at your bed. I have Christmas pjs so don’t see why I shouldn’t have festive bedding too.

Also, an honourable mention has to go to Primark for their Christmas range this year.

It’s awesome and of course, super affordable. How awesome are these Disney baubles? There are so many more in the range too.

And I’m tempted to get this light too. Only £8!

Top Picks #51

  1. Bag, £65 – Accessorize*

More stars I know! But look how pretty and it’s leather so you know it’ll last.

  1. Jumper, £40 – Oasis*

How amazing is this collar? I love it so much. I’ve seen slightly similar ones in the past but it’s usually something like cats, never seen it done with zebras. I can easily see this as something you could dress up or down and would go with skirts, trousers and jeans. Get in my wardrobe.

  1. T-shirt, £12 – Dorothy Perkins*

I used to say this phrase sarcastically when people asked me how life was but these days (especially not working in an office), I actually am. Sure things aren’t perfect but they sure as hell are a whole lot better.

  1. Dress, £24.50 – Joy

I spy a pretty dress! This kind of reminds me of a striped dress I used to have a few years ago. Best thing is that this is on sale!

  1. Skirt, £35 – Joanie

I really seem to be drawn to this style of skirt recently. I really like how summery this one is. And it has pockets – bonus!

  1. Print, £11.59 – We Are Extinct @ Etsy

This print is so true! My furbabies definitely keep things chipper around this house. How can I be sad with those two looking at me? Topher definitely agrees.

  1. Trainers, £34.99 – ASOS*

I suddenly find myself drawn to seeking out a pair of comfy but cute lace up trainers. I have my high top converse which I love but I just want something to act as an in between those and my ballet pumps. Still dithering over what colour but these ASOS ones are nice. Plus I do love a bit of glitter.

  1. Bedding, £27.99 – New Look

I love love love this bedding set! Unfortunately Topher does not. So it can never be mine *sobs. Though in actual fact it can never be mine because they only do it in a double.

  1. Pin, £14.08 – Bottle of Clouds @ Etsy

This pin just makes me smile. Love it. Describes both my cats! Sadly it only ships within the USA – boo.

  1. Blouse, $49.99 – Modcloth*

A blouse with dinosaurs on and a bow at the collar – what more could I ask for?

Top Picks #49

  1. Bikini, $39.99 & $49.99 – Modcloth*

Modcloth have so much nice swimwear in at the moment. I cannot resist this bikini and I don’t even wear bikinis! The dinosaur skeleton print is awesome and I really like the colour too. I’ve never been a fan of the vintage style high waist bikini bottoms but this one makes me reconsider a little bit.

2. Sandals, £25.99 – New Look

These sandals are so pretty! I love the simplicity of them though I’m not sure if I would enjoy the tan lines!

3. T-shirt, £16.97 – Carolina Magnolia Designs @ Etsy

I felt like I’d hit the jackpot when I stumbled across this Etsy store the other week. So many subtle Disney t-shirts. This one is by far my favourite. Any idea where the saying is from? Unfortunately they only ship within the US but with my parents travelling there all the time, I’m sure I could find a way.

4. Earrings, £8 – Jazzy Menagerie @ Etsy

I’m in love with these earrings! Little paper airplanes!

5. Dress, £75 – Emily and Fin

It’s the stripy dress of dreams! My stripes addiction continues. This dress is just perfect in every way. It even has freaking pockets! Pockets are like gold dust in the womenswear industry.

6. Washi tape dispenser, £25.33 – Mig Ma Ideas @ Etsy

I may have squeaked a little when I saw this. How amazing is this washi tape dispenser? For a washi tape addict such as myself, it’s just perfect. May have to request this for my birthday. And bonus, it would stop Luna from stealing my washi tapes. She loves them just as much as I do but for very different reasons!

7. Brooch, £8.08 – Rock Cakes @ Etsy

I’ve always wanted a little hello brooch and this one is perfect! It comes in different colours and I want them all.

8. Top, £39.50 – Sugarhill Boutique

This top is so kitsch, I love it. It would be perfect with skinny jeans or tucked into a midi skirt.

9. Camera Strap, £33.94 – Janie Lane Studio @ Etsy

I’ve been thinking about getting a pretty camera strap for a while and this one fits the bill. And it has pockets!

10. Coin purse, £8 – Accessorize*

I’m not going to be carrying round my entire purse on our honeymoon so this coin purse is perfect for the essentials.

Top Picks #48

  1. Embroidery Hoop, £24 – Stitching Business @ Etsy

I really like the design of this embroidery hoop. I wish they had a few more options with different designs and colours of houses though.

2.  Sandals, £29 – Accessorize*

I really like the star cut out detail on these sandals. They look like they’d be perfect for a city break paired with skinny jeans and a laid back tee.

3. Sundress, £40 – Joanie

And they’ve done it again. Joanie have brought out another sundress I am in love with. So much love for this one.

4. Notebook, £27.50 – Paperchase

I know it’s awhile until I need another bullet journal but when that time does come, this one is definitely a contender. It has grid pages which I think will make doing layouts a whole lot simpler. It’s leather too, which gives it a luxury feel.

5. Swimsuit, £28 – Joanie

Joanie has a swimwear range! I don’t really see the straps being particularly supportive on this particular suit but I love the print.

6. Brooch, £60 – Tatty Devine

This brooch is awesome! So cute. Apparently it has a view finder that you can really look through – how cool is that?

7. Dress, $584.99 – Modcloth*

I’m not usually one for strapless dresses but the print on this one is way too eye-catching to ignore. It makes me want to go somewhere sunny and hot like Cuba. I didn’t realise it was by Anna Sui straight away but after I did, I wasn’t surprised that I picked it. I used to idolize Anna Sui as a teenager. She made me want to be a fashion designer.

8. Earrings, £22 – From My Bear Hands @Etsy

These earrings are so sparkly and lovely! I can’t wait until my ears are healed and I can start wearing other earrings.

9. Shoes, £35 – Dorothy Perkins*

I’m in love with these shoes. It’s a shame I don’t wear heals though. I wish they did them in a flat sandal design. They do have them in a flat mule design but I don’t really like mules. For a klutz like me they’re recipe for disaster!

10. Dress, £34 – Minimum Mouse

This print is awesome! Unfortunately it’s out of stock at the moment but here’s hoping it comes back soon.
