My Week #59 – Car boots and de-cluttering

*Car boot noms *New light fixture in the living room

*New sparkly shoes *Pickles being cuddly AF

The rain held off long enough for Emma and I to do a car boot in peace.

Phew! More stuff gone. I might even do another one this weekend if the weather holds out. Though looking out the window right now that may not happen! I’m really getting on it now with the house. I got so sick of all the rubbish in the run up to the wedding and now I have the free time to finally do something about it. Just wait, soon everything will have a place.

I lost half a pound at Slimming World

With the mountain of crap I ate this week I was shocked that I still lost weight. But the ladies there have a theory that I’m shedding the stress weight I put on just before the wedding. Fingers crossed I keep going the right way because I’m in danger of not fitting into a couple of things I bought ages ago for the honeymoon.

Speaking of the honeymoon…

Everything is now booked and currency is sorted. Plus I found out that The Color Factory existed through Instagram and immediately signed up to their mailing list to await ticket sales for September. How amazing does it look?! It only opened this month in San Francisco and so I thought it would be a cool idea to go while we’re there. Only a few days later they went on sale and I pounced. I got tickets for Topher and I and I am beyond excited.

I also got some new sparkly trainers which I can’t wait to wear over there. I immediately changed the shoe laces to regular ones (thanks eBay!) as I wasn’t a fan of the wide ribbon ones they came with. I’m already packing my suitcase in my head. Is it too early to start packing? It’s just under a month away…

In other news of capitalism I think I may have jumped on the pin collecting train

All in my head of course – it ain’t quite payday yet! So for those who follow me on Pinterest, I profusely apologies for the pin spam over the last 24 hours. I would say I won’t do it again but I’m lying. #sorrynotsorry It all started with this pin right here:

How was your week?

On a side note – I’m looking for guest posters for while I’m away next month so if you fancy writing on here, get in touch.

Linkorama #6

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these but I’m reviving them. For those unaware, it’s pretty much just a post full of pretty pictures and links I’ve come across while perusing the internet. I enjoy reading other people’s versions of these so hopefully you will too!

I love this Piñata Pin. The colours are so bright and happy. Very tempted to jump on the pin collecting bandwagon!

I love this quote. It’s totally true that success isn’t always down to starting early and looking like everyone else. And I have to ask, who ever is certain about everything? We all get unsure of ourselves sometimes. The key is just to start. I’m not sure where the source for this photo is as there was a dead end from Pinterest but if it’s your image please let me know and I can credit you!

The 22 Most Over-The-Top Desserts in America

These desserts are insane! Though I really regret looking at these while hungry. Never look at food articles while hungry! There’s definitely a couple of these that I plan on sampling while we’re over in the USA on our honeymoon. I can just taste the diabetes already!
