Florida – What I ate

Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel – The Chew

Food glorious food! The majority of my photos are from the food and wine festival which I seriously couldn’t wait for. Though I have to admit this only half of the stuff I ate – I was so busy scarfing it down I didn’t get a photo. Ah well, I enjoyed it.

Cannoli al cioccolato: Chocolate-covered cannoli filled with sweet ricotta, chocolate and candied fruit – Italy

Fresh potato pancake with Scottish smoked salmon and herb sour cream – Scotland

Ricotta & zucchini ravioli with tomato sauce – Sustainable Chew

Kefta pocket: Ground seasoned beef in a pita pocket – Morocco

Baklava – Morocco

Crème brûlée vanille chocolat – FranceDSC03825 Croissant aux escargots with garlic and parsley – France

Lobster and seafood fisherman’s pie – IrelandDSC03811

Soufflé de yuca: Yuca soufflé topped with griddled cheese – Dominican Republic

Haggis with neeps and tatties – Scotland

A couple of other stand out things I ate but didn’t get a photo of was Sweetcorn Cheesecake from Mexico (omg amazing) and from Japan Teriyaki a gyoza bun which is a steamed bun filled with chicken, vegetables and sweet teriyaki sauce (equally amazing!). I also tried a funnel cake for the first time which is difficult to eat sitting on the ground with just a fork!

So time for our out of park culinary adventures. First of all, can I live at IHOP? Pancakes are my favourite thing ever! We went three times over the two weeks – including for dinner one night.

Red Lobster is always a firm favourite for Topher and I so it’s not a trip there without paying a visit. I had my usual combo of lobster, shrimp and scallops.

Other places I recommend for food if you’re sick and tired of the old burger and fries combo is Sweet Tomatoes. Amazing salad bar and lots of delicious soups. Also for an alternative fast food place; Panera Bread. Sandwiches and soups. So delicious. Everyone was thankful for something a bit healthier. Especially after the breakfast below. Only in America!
