My Week #12

The last two weeks have been pretty busy. 2016 has gotten off to a flying start for us. I’ve been trying to build my online presence and make a routine for myself which has been going ok. It’s quite difficult with all the plans we’ve surprisingly had. Everyone is taking advantage of the fact that we’re home all day now so we’ve been seeing lots of friends which has been nice.

On the wedding planning front, we have seen two wedding venues and think we are close to a decision! That would be a great thing to tick off this month. Then it’s only the photographer and we can relax a little until the summer.

It has been freezing recently so we’re all in hibernation mode at home. Lots of blankets, fuzzy socks, layers and hot drinks. Pickles has been enjoying our throws the most I think and he’s often found hiding under the duvet in our bedroom. Luna has been keeping me company in my office which has been lovely. She tends to curl up on the floor or sit on the desk and just stare at me. Maybe I’ll make a makeshift bed for her.

I was lucky enough to review a brunch in Manchester (which will be on the blog early next week) so Topher and I took the opportunity to wander around town afterwards. I’ve forgotten how much I love window shopping. We walked around for a few hours and I only caved in the Monsoon sale when I saw some pjs that I loved had been reduced to half price. We did eat a lot that day though and that led to me putting on 2lbs at Slimming World – oops! Oh well. I’ve made an awesome eating plan for the upcoming week so here’s to those extra pounds disappearing sharpish!

I’ve been taking the opportunity to paint which I have really enjoyed. I even worked on a custom journal for an old work friend which ended up turning into her new logo. So pleased with that! You can check it out on her blog here. If you love craft blogs then it’s definitely one to stick around for – it’s brand new.Β If you would like a logo yourself then don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ve finally created a page with all my services so check it out here.

In other news, Topher and I completed our second training walk. We achieved our goal of making it home this time and we did just over 18 miles. Our next challenge will be 20 miles. I’m feeling confident that we’re making a real effort this time so I need to actually go for it and sign us up to the London to Brighton Trek 2016. That will definitely be done next time I do one of these update posts.

In the next few weeks we actually have no free weekends which is crazy. Here’s to more busy times ahead!

How has your fortnight been?
